An SHG seller at her handicraft stall at a rural Odisha trade fair, phone in hand

RISO Intelligence · Bhubaneswar

Voice-first AI commerce for India’s SHG women

Self-help groups earn most at government melas — and run that season on paper. ExhibitionSaarthi turns the stall counter into a digital till she can operate by speaking, in her own language.

The moment we digitize

The mela is where she earns. It still runs on paper.

At Baliyatra in Cuttack and at Saras and district melas across Odisha, lakhs of customers walk past SHG stalls. Behind those counters, the peak earning season is recorded in a register and a cash box.

So the cashflow that could prove her income never exists. She cannot show a bank what she sold, cannot keep a customer once the mela ends, and cannot tell which products actually moved.

We digitize the transaction at the exact moment it happens — at the exact place SHGs earn most.

The platform

A till she can use, an event they can see

A seller in a Sambalpuri saree speaking into a phone at her fair stall

Billing by voice, in Odia

She speaks the sale; the bill is generated. Literacy and typing are not requirements at a crowded counter.

Handmade terracotta, dokra brass and handloom goods arranged for cataloguing

A catalogue that builds itself

AI-assisted onboarding maps her stock against a four-tier taxonomy of rural produce, so a stall is ready in minutes.

Mela operations, end to end

Registration, stall allotment, entry and exit, and a live view of the ground for the organising department.

A customer who can come back

Every buyer leaves with a digital invoice and a link to the stall, turning one fortnight into a lasting customer list.

From the ground

Every deployment leaves a published record

After each exhibition we produce a full report for the organising department — stories, photographs and analytics from the ground. These are published documents, not case studies we wrote about ourselves.
